We knew it would happen, some things that seemed like a great idea at the time don't seem so great now!  Here's a few:

  • Getting the date/time stamp on your digital photos is not always easy!  You probably don't want your family wedding photos stamped so changing it back and forth may not be practical.  Our security screening of Tour participants so far shows they are all trustworthy and date and time are recorded in the Passport so don't worry too much about this!  Just kidding about the security screening!
  • One of our Tourers lost their decal the same day it was applied.  Mine on the other hand seems very secure.  We are trying to get more information about applying them, so far without success.  Just to be on the safe side don't apply them yet.  If you can't wait, clean the surface carefully, be sure the surface is warm (tarp and heater?), then apply.  We'll share any information we get.
Thanks to Joanne at Leech Printing here's some important information for aplying the decals - minimum temperature +10 C!  If applying at temperatures less than this throw a tarp over the tail and put a heater under it for a while.  The spec sheet is very impressive - they can be slid around over the surface and won't stick until pressure is applied so are easy to position, they conform to rivets and irregular surfaces, they are not affected by most chemicals, water or humidity, once applied they withstand temperatures from -45 C to + 85 C, life expectancy is 7 years, heat will assist removal, ... pretty impressive!
  • There may be more 'book work' in the Passport than everyone wants to do, remember participation is the key!  At least document the basics of each Tour flight if you're not keen on the rest.  The more information the more prizes you'll be eligible for at the Final Celebration though!  Find the balance that suits you!
